What we do

Southern Alberta’s premier youth pipe band

We teach youth between the ages of 7 and 18.

Many of our instructors are former band members who provide top-level instruction. Participation in the band offers our young members many exciting, unique, positive, and rewarding experiences. Alongside our exceptional instructors, the band benefits from a supportive parent association.

Our History

Foothills Caledonia Youth Pipe Band
Our Story

A Little About Us

Prior to the fall of 2019 the Foothills Caledonia Youth Pipe Band was called the Ogden Legion Pipe Band.

The OLPB was originally formed in 1972. It was sponsored by the Royal Canadian Legion, Ogden Branch #154 in Southeast Calgary, Canada. Despite the closing of the Ogden Branch, OLPB retained the name and proudly continued to honour its legion roots. Building on this history, FCYPB continues to be Southern Alberta’s premier youth band. Though our name has changed our history remains. We are thankful to all the many members of years past and look forward to a bright future.

Our Tartan

The Royal Stewart

The Royal Stewart tartan is associated with the royal House of Stewart, and is also the personal tartan of Queen Elizabeth II.
